Agus is a student at our training center in Batam, Indonesia. He comes from an area of Indonesia where armed fighting between differing religious communities is frequent. This violence has hit Agus personally. In 2000, his village was attacked by armed fanatics. Agus was able to flee and escape injury. This tramatic event caused Agus to draw nearer to Christ. Although he told God he would serve him faithfully if he was saved in the attack, it took Agus 3 years to make good on that commitment. He is now 100% committed to knowing Him & making Him known. The religious violence came back to haunt Agus in 2005. One of the three young teenage girls that were beheaded by extremists in Poso was Agus' cousin. Please pray for this man. The Lord has spared him for a great purpose to bring Light into the darkness of Poso!
