Food - Indonesian Style!

Makan is the Indonesian word for "food." This word is commonly used by Singaporeans when they discuss eating. Before our departure for the US in late August, our family had the opportunity to makan with our Indonesian class members. Since the beginning of this year we have been studying the Indonesian language with this group. These classes have been a great way to learn the language as well as to fellowship with fellow believers from His Sanctuary Church. During our trips to Indonesia we are able to practice what we’ve learned with native speakers. The Indonesian people are very gracious with us as we stumble along with speaking their language. Although we are not yet fluent, we continue to learn and practice as often as possible. Puji Tuhan! (Praise the Lord!)
