AMTP in Bali

Rev. Dean Morgan and Rev. Jimmy Lambert, IPHC conference leaders from South Carolina helped us during our leadership training sessions at AMTP in Bali, Indonesia, during June 11-16. Over 20 pastors and leaders were in attendance to hear teachings on the topic of "Seeking the Lord." AMTP - Asian Ministerial Training Program - is a special time of equipping and encouraging front line leaders. Teaching times are coupled with prayer times and fellowship. Bali is a predominantly Hindu island of 4 million people. Hindu temples of all shapes and sizes can be seen all over this large island. Very few church buildings are evident. The AMTP was held at our Bali Mission Training center. Since 2004 this center has been training workers to reach the Hindus of Bali. A
fter the one year training program is completed, the graduates are sent to various parts of the island to minister. On many occasions these workers have been targets of radical elements. In 2002, an outlying village that housed some Christian families was attacked by these radicals. Please pray for our pastors and leaders in Bali. Please pray for the mission training center. Please pray for the graduates as they minister in such tense conditions.
